Stress

Feelings of stress can range from mild to severe where it affects our lives and the things we want to do.

Stress that goes on for too long can cuase physical illness or ailments and you can start to suffer from more common ailments like colds, aches and pains, low mood and sleep problems.

Some symptoms of stress include continual anxiety feelings, loss of appetite, sleep problems, headaches, heart issues, bowel disturbances, irritability and low mood.

Therapy aims to explore what is going on for you and get your stress levels down both physically and psychologically.

Of course stress can cause mental health difficulties but in many cases, people are managing so much and so well that it is often overlooked that actually, the person is not feeling very happy despite the feeling that they perhaps should be.

Other times people recognise that they are stressed and simply don't know what to do about it.

Counselling and Psychotherapy can help gain balance, reduce anxiety or low mood and increase coping skills.
