Hypnotherapy /Clinical Hypnosis
Hypnotherapy, also called Clinical hypnosis, is the use of hypnosis to alleviate of a wide range of physical, emotional, behavioural or psychological symptoms.

Hypnotherapy is recognised by clinicians as a safe practice as during a session you enter a deeply relaxed state in body and mind which is considered to be healthy.

The hypnotic state is a natural state which people enter into on a regular basis without realizing, for example, when you are absorbed in a movie or driving a car without thinking. It is just one of the many brainwave states we enter in to.

How does Hypnotherapy work?
During a session, you would be guided to listen to my voice which leads you into a hypnotic state. Once deeply relaxed with your conscious mind also very relaxed, it is here that hypnotic suggestion would be placed. The suggestions would be something we had already pre-planned. You do not lose consciousness or lose your memory of the session. You are not asleep but very alert.

Can anyone be hypnotised?
Everyone does this naturally, and some people find it easy to learn how to move into a hypnotic state and some will need practice, which you can do at home. It is not possible to be made to do something under hypnosis that you do not want to do, as portrayed in stage hypnosis or in movies. .

What is Hypnosis good for ?
Hypnosis is particularly helpful for treating stress and anxiety, depression, fears and phobias, specific anxiety, nerves about a particular situation, self confidence, behavioural and sleep problems and physical ailments related to stress such as IBS, headaches, migraines and high blood pressure
