TIMELINE EXERCISE

 

To assist with reflection on our lives, it can be very helpful to create a timeline of your life.  This assists with telling your story and getting a picture of your life and its high's, lows and significant experiences that have had an impact on your earlier development and also that which has happened since that has informed how and who you are today.

Below is an example of a timeline.  In your own timeline, you are free to be as creative or limited as you wish.

​

Ensure that you create the first 5 years and anything you know or remember from this time.  This is the base of your Life Timeline. 

​

  1. Plot the memories (green) the timeline.

  2. Plot the memories (orange) your timeline.

  3. Plot the life events (blue) in the MIDDLE, such as moving, the birth of a family member, or beginning college
